Often times, the Zathyus News Broadcast is a revolving door of new staff members. Most of the time the retirements and new hirings come from the reporting team and retirements are usually back-to-back, leaving the ZNB in a slow state. From now on we want to make sure that each applicant is well prepared, well adjusted, and dedicated to the ZNB to ensure that new staff will succeed under such stable conditions and stick around for longer than a month! What is the Intern System? It is a new system for hiring reporters. Interns will have access to their own intern room for discussion and interaction with ZNB staff members. Interns will have access to tips that come into the ZNB as well as tips and advice from fellow ZNB staff members; both past and present. The intern position is all about grooming you for the future! If you enjoy reporting, why report as a member when you can report as an intern with the possibility of becoming a full time ZNB staff member? The intern tenure for each promotion is 4 weeks. This means that as an intern, you have 4 weeks to prove to the ZNB staff that you are a dedicated, active member who writes and submits excellent content for the ZNB. All interns must remain an intern for the minimum of two weeks, this is to prevent the "boom then bust" type applicants who do a slew of reports towards the beginning of their promotion then slack off. It should be noted that no members will be promoted straight to reporter. All applicants must go through the intern system first before becoming a full ZNB reporter. How The Intern System Will Help You: Staff togetherness: Often times, when applying for the ZNB - applicants will have to wait up to 4 weeks just to hear an answer regarding their application. With the intern system, the staff is on the same page regarding your applcation and progress. You will be aware of your status and how the staff feels about you at all times. Working Together: By working as an intern you get exclusive access to tips, the Zathyus Network Staff "Forum Book", and more. You also get to work directly with the ZNB staff allowing you to gain tips, advice, and access to our various documentations regarding how you can become a better, more reliable, consistent and active ZNB staff member. Working together also allows us to build a better bond with you, rather than being thrusted into our staff team - you can now get to know us better and how we operate. Getting the greenlight: After the intern process, you now feel like you've worked hard to get to your spot on the ZNB staff team. Everyone is on the same page, you are accustomed to what happens and you are fully prepared to be an official ZNB staff member! Great! How do I apply?: It is very simple to apply for the intern system. All you need to do is fill out the below template and personal message it to: Lenny, Scotty, Bluezone777, or Dakota. From there, the ZNB staff will briefly discuss your application and within 24 hours, you will be made an intern, or your application will be declined. Be sure to have a recent news submission (interview, editorial, and/or report) to bolster and confirm your application!
