Posts: 11,567 Group: Editor Member #1 Joined: August 10, 2008	News Now: Dan's Sports Network.................................^{Date: 1/1/2010} Elite Sports Talk - Dan The Man is known around many Zathyus Network forums as a scammer; but slowly over the past 5 months Dan The Man has proven to be more than that as he has been slowly reshaping his image from someone of a traitor to a successful administrator and businessman. Just last week, Dan The Man opened his second sports forum on the IPB 3.0 software called Elite Sports Talk. Overall, this was the third sports forum from Dan in 2009 and Elite Sports Talk has already bolted to moderate success. The Zathyus News Broadcast caught up with Dan the Man earlier this week for a brief interview regarding his growing sports network and his future on forums. ON THE RECORD: With Dan The Man What made you go from opening advertising forums, to sports forums? What do you enjoy about sports forums that other forum genres dont have? My advertisement forums were targeted toward the Zetaboards community. With the lack of resource/advertisement forums on the network I decided to try something different. I’ve created a few sports forums back in the day. My sports forum have always been fairly successful so I continued down that path. I currently own Elite Sports Talk and The Batters Eye. Both are doing extremely well. On sports forums there is less drama and it’s a lot different than advertisement forums since you don’t have to offer a bunch of services. Why did you choose to open both, Elite Sports Talk and Pro Sports Addicts? Is it tough keeping up with two forums of the same topic? The forums will differ each other a bit. Elite Sports Talk will offer live radio show broadcasts, some contests, amongst other things that are not available on Pro Sports Addicts. A major difference between the two forums is that EST is on IPB and PSA is on VB. Different features are available on both softwares. Also I am going to network the two so traffic and SEO ranking increases. Do you have many of the same members on both forums, or are new members the majority? What changes will be coming to both Elite Sports Talk and Pro Sports Addicts in the future? Some of the members are the same but I am targetting new people. EST just opened 3 days ago and already has 57 members and 2,600 posts with absolutely no advertising on my end. Pro Sports Addicts will upgrade to VB 4 and a new theme will be integrated. For EST a radio show, chatroom, and new skin will be added soon. I hope to add some sim leagues to EST in a few days. Do you think having multiple forums stretches your activity too thin? By combining all your sports forums and placing all your effort into one could lead to a major sports forum. My goal is for both to major sports forums. I will most likely find a couple guys to run PSA in a couple months when both forusm are thriving. I am able to be active on both forums and manage them quite easily. He went from being a bash boy to one of the most talked about administrators I have ever known. This man offered me a few paid positions in the past and I declined them all mainly because he was looked down upon due to his scams and tricks. Now he has proven to be a leader within many forum communities and deserves some respect from many of the people who had nothing but negative things to say about him in the past. Well done, Dan.

As the interview said, the forums will offer different features and services. They are on different softwares too that way people can use their preferred software. I know a lot of people that won't join a VB forum and I know a lot of people that won't join an IPB forum. It works both ways to be honest. Also I am working a on a mini-sports network. The forums will be used to feed traffic to each other and benefit SEO. Risk is minimal. Lenny forgot to post the link to my other forum Pro Sports Addicts.
